Cycle of Purposes – one person thinks the same thing twice [2012]

An actor performs an identical scene twice to camera. Whilst listening to a narrative voice over, the actor reacts and reflects on the story a recalling of an experience. Using a script, the actor was given ‘psychological actions’ based on the theories of Sam Kogan. Each take was recorded using the same voice over, allowing for precise synchronisation of the images. The final video is silent and selected from 15 takes of the same sequence. The takes were chosen to be as close to each other as possible.
